چکیده

Dragon fruit is a prebiotic source of oligosaccharides. This the first report on study that evaluates anti-inflammatory effects dragon oligosaccharides (DFO) macrophage cell line. experiment evaluated DFO both gene and protein expression levels in inflammatory response lipopolysaccharide-induced RAW 264.7 The results showed significantly inhibited prostaglandin-E2, nitric oxide, tumor necrosis factor-α production. also suppressed cyclooxygenase-2 inducible oxide synthase. These suggest potentially novel ingredient for use as an prevention inflammation.

Lipopolysaccharide-induced macrophage inflammatory response is regulated by SHIP.

LPS stimulates monocytes/macrophages through TLR4, resulting in the activation of a series of signaling events that potentiate the production of inflammatory mediators. Recent reports indicated that the inflammatory response to LPS is diminished by PI3K, through the activation of the serine/threonine kinase Akt. SHIP is an inositol phosphatase that can reverse the activation events initiated by...

Haloperidol Suppresses NF-kappaB to Inhibit Lipopolysaccharide-Induced Pro-Inflammatory Response in RAW 264 Cells.

BACKGROUND Haloperidol, a tranquilizing agent, is administered both to treat symptoms of psychotic disorders and to sedate agitated and delirious patients. Notably, haloperidol has been suggested to inhibit the immune response through unknown mechanisms. We hypothesized that the sedative modulates the immune response via NF-κB. MATERIAL AND METHODS Using flow cytometry, we analyzed the effects ...

Inhibition of Lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced inflammatory responses by Sargassum hemiphyllum sulfated polysaccharide extract in RAW 264.7 macrophage cells.

Sargassum hemiphyllum , a kind of brown seaweed generally found along coastlines in East Asia, has long served as a traditional Chinese medicine. S. hemiphyllum has shown an anti-inflammatory effect; however, its mechanism has not been elucidated clearly. This study explored S. hemiphyllum for its biomedical effects. S. hemiphyllum sulfated polysaccharide extract (SHSP) was first prepared; the ...

Lipopolysaccharide prevents doxorubicin-induced apoptosis in RAW 264.7 macrophage cells by inhibiting p53 activation.

The effect of lipopolysaccharide on doxorubicin-induced cell death was studied by using mouse RAW 264.7 macrophage cells. Pretreatment with lipopolysaccharide at 10 ng/mL prevented doxorubicin-induced cell death and the inhibition was roughly dependent on the concentration of lipopolysaccharide. Posttreatment with lipopolysaccharide for 1 hour also prevented doxorubicin-induced cell death. Lipo...

Avicularin Inhibits Lipopolysaccharide-Induced Inflammatory Response by Suppressing ERK Phosphorylation in RAW 264.7 Macrophages

suppresAvicularin, quercetin-3-α-L-arabinofuranoside, has been reported to possess diverse pharmacological properties such as anti-inflammatory and anti-infectious effects. However, the underlying mechanism by which avicularin exerts its anti-inflammatory activity has not been clearly demonstrated. This study aimed to elucidate the anti-inflammatory mechanism of avicularin in lipopolysaccharide...
